Friday Finish-Poppies

Today's finish is a bright, vivacious poppy quilt brought to me by Stephanie.  I used 3043 Golden Haystack or also called Barley.  It depends if you bought the thread under Quilter's Choice or Omni brand name.  The thread was just dark enough to show up on the pale gold polka dot blocks and a lovely accent to the rest of the quilt.  I particularly like how it showed up and gave texture to the red outer borders.  The Golden Haystack made the back of the quilt sing with happiness.
Above is the back of the quilt while still on the longarm.  The pattern is called Tole Painting.

The other finishes I have this week are a few blocks for the quilt Gotcha Covered.  It is a wall hanging size quilt of a covered bridge.
Headed to our local library to assist with a sewing machine cleaning day.  Our guild sponsors it each year.  I will be taking my little red wagon with me to carry in the machines from people's cars.
This weekend is very busy around here as it is our "Homestead Festival".  The weather is cooperating and has cooled off.  Will be having my Haines machine checked out today.  I suspect they will have to take it back to the shop, as it is probably more than they can do today.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you decide to do!  I will be linking up with Patchwork Times, Link-A-Finish Friday, and Crazy Mom Quilts.

Yours in quilting,
Terry
