This past weekend I was the chairman of our Stash Buster Autumn Quiltaway at Pilgrim Park Church Camp. I took my flannel design wall with me and hung it up.
I completed three blocks for the Smith Mountain Morning quilt. I might have made more progress if I had not left a basket of quilt pieces at home. I made a trip home to get the pieces but lost precious sewing time.
I am proud to say I completed 23 additional 4 1/4" stars that are corner stones for my Amber Waves of Grain quilt. My friend, Corry Guier, is working on embroidering the 50 states names on the center fabric along with the date each state joined the union.
This morning I had a visitor on the back deck. I caught him scampering away. I watched him do a few acrobatic moves on the deck railing and then I scared him off while trying to take pictures. The cat was watching the squirrel intensely.
I have linked up with Judy at Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday.
Yours in quilting,
Terry
Wow! First time entering a giveaway and I win! Thanks so much, Terry. I'm sending you an email with my snail mail address.
ReplyDeleteLove your colors in SMM. Wish I had thought of that. Instead I'm going with blue and brown like the original. Already have my strips cut. Taking the class in March.
Congrats Libby and what neat blocks!! Thanks for sharing.
