Saturday with the Hubbie

Most Saturdays our routine is to have breakfast with the neighbors, do jobs around the house and run errands.  Today will be basically the same except its my turn to support my hubbie at his hobby.  He will be bowling in the Senior Master's Bowling Tournament.  This means a lot of sitting around.  So on Friday I prepared by sewing on two bindings.

This small quilt made by Libby Smith for the Washington Tornado Relief.

This full size wedding quilt.

I know the hubbie will roll his eyes when he seeing my bag of handwork going to the bowling alley.  But can't waste that precious sitting around time.  I am a "get'er done type of gal"!

Have a great weekend and do something special!

Yours in quilting,
Terry

  1. I'm new to your blog, so forgive me if I don't know what your hubby does to support your hobby. Mine helps by supplying new eyes to the design wall - are there any same blocks that are too close. He also built my design wall - foam core nailed to the wall - I have to pin on the blocks. (Not a design I'd recommend now that we are trying to sell our house. Not everybody wants a design wall.)
I love that you will be sewing during the tournament. Multitasking - I don't think men can do it. (If you are like me... I have to do something or I fall asleep.)
    Good luck to your hubby.
    Hugs

    1. I am blessed with a husband that never complains about my hobby that has now turned into a career. He helps with arranging the sewing studio when asked, is my consultant to make sure I don't have twisted blocks in quilt tops, and is a huge encouragement. Most of all he encourages to me buy what I need. It doesn't get much better than that!
