My body feels a little like a car wreck, all my bumpers are bruised and achy! Hahaha! We can sit in our easy chairs and enjoy the house all decorated.
Lesson Learned: Don't rush to decorate to impress someone, you get hurt when rushing up and down the stairs. (Oh and the person never came the next day so all that rushing for nothing.)
This is the first quilt I received to quilt for the Washington Tornado relief. It has been hard to take pictures of it. It turns out off colored. So I locked away the animals, laid out a quilt on the deck and then laid the white quilt on top for a few outside pictures.
The back side with extra blocks used. The quilting pattern is called Flutterbys by Handi Quilter and the thread is Confetti Pastel by YLI.

Congratulations to Donna J. in Hayward, WI, for sending me this lovely baby size quilt to finish for her. She stated in her note that "she just started quilting". Well, Donna, you sew like an experienced quilter. The quilt was square, the seams matched and everything was pressed perfectly. Sew on Donna! You have a great future in quilting. I have a little hand stitching left on the binding and it will be totally ready to go to its new home. Below is the pair of pillow cases Donna also sent. Beautiful and practical for someone who lost everything in a tornado. Tomorrow I will be posting about my Secret Santa gifts I received from Blacksburg, VA.
I have linked up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Link a Finish Friday, Freedom Fridays, Michelle’s Romantic Tangle and Crazy Mom Quilts.
Yours in quilting,
Terry
I feel for you, Terry. There must have been something in the air Wednesday because I missed the last step to the basement on my rush out to handbell practice. I don't know why I didn't break something besides my pride on the ceramic tile floor. Just a nasty bruise on one arm. Hope to have my quilts ready to send you on Monday.
ReplyDeleteThanks Libby, I look forward to your package.
